Even more eggs

It's egg laying season in Kentucky. Birds, duck, and even peafowl. My blue hen (Lucia) has 9 eggs under her right now. Hope they all hatch. She's been setting for about a week now and the eggs should hatch right at Memorial weekend.

Mapp the purple hen has dropped 2 eggs so far and I do mean drop. One she laid from her perch (5 Ft drop) but the egg looks fine. Big pile of straw under the perch helps this time of year. Messy to clean up later but worth it to save her eggs. The other she laid in the peafowl yard. She's not "set" before but hoping she will get the urge otherwise the eggs are off to a chicken or the incubator for hatching.

Plenty of chicks for sale soon.

There are different kinds of bird cages, from dome tops to play tops and parrot perches. If you have never owned a bird before, you will probably be taken aback by the sheer number of cage types as well as cage supplies being sold in the market to the bird cage suppliers. Choose the kind of cage designed for your bird, and make sure that it is large enough for your bird to roam around in. From cage covers and cage corner shelves to bird nets, you will have to spend a good amount of time choosing which bird cage supplies to buy first.
